Soft Rain: An Afternoon Panel Discussion and Film on the Opportunities for a Neglected Resource

Etnografiska Museet in Stockholm, May 11, 14:30 – 17:00
Half way to 2015, the year when the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) are to be reached, the crisis in water and sanitation as well as in water resources management still remains among the great human development and environment challenges. On the other hand, with water and sanitation as the key entry points, problems of poverty, hunger, disease, illiteracy, environmental degradation and gender inequality can in large measure be solved. Something as fundamental as better rainwater management, for example, can go a long way in determining if the planet’s 9 billion inhabitants in the year 2050 can be fed. Join this exciting discussion and film on today’s critical water and development issues.
